At Manila Water, we are committed to delivering water and wastewater services in a responsible and sustainable manner, ensuring long-term value creation for all our stakeholders. Through the transformation of our capital – financial, manufactured, intellectual, human, social, and natural – we drive the execution of our strategy and contribute to the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). As we navigate this transformation, we focus on growth that is inclusive, responsible, and sustainable, aligning our business activities with the broader goal of creating lasting positive impact.
Capital
Financial
We leverage cost-effective financial capital, including equity, debt, reinvestment, and cash generated from our services, to maintain and grow our business. These resources enable us to enhance the stock of our other capitals.
Manufactured
We invest in acquiring, developing, and maintaining property, plant, and equipment to optimize production capacities, enhance productivity, and ensure efficient water delivery to our customers.
Intellectual
Our intangible assets—including our brand, reputation, governance structures, knowledge and expertise, operational experience, and product and solution developments—form the core of our intellectual capital. These assets, enable us to consistently deliver results to the communities we serve.
Human
We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and safe work environment for our employees. Through their collective knowledge and purpose-driven actions, they create value and enable us to deliver on our strategic objectives.
Social + Relationship
We create value for stakeholders by actively engaging with them and building strong relationships. These relationships, shaped by our commitment to the long-term sustainability of the communities we serve, directly impact our business and reputation.
Natural
We are committed to achieving resource efficiency in the consumption of natural resources and materials essential to our business model. Our natural capital includes our environmental management approach, which refects our adherence to international best practices, legal compliance, and our responsibility to minimize environmental impact.
